The Inspiration Behind Micro Mini and Super Micro Royals
Micro Mini and Super Micro Royal Frenchel Frenchies were born out of a real need and a natural tendency within the breed. These tiny pups are not just a passing trend—they’ve been carefully developed over 20 years with love and great care to meet the needs of both the dogs and the people they serve.
Originally, Royal Frenchels were created to assist people with medical issues, many of whom found larger dogs difficult to manage. When I developed a nerve condition myself, I quickly discovered how wonderful it was to have a Micro Mini Royal at my side. These little dogs are so easy to handle, feed, and care for that sometimes it feels like they take care of me more than I do them!
A Commitment to Health and Safety
Micro and Super Micro Minis are rare gems, created only after years of dedicated breeding that prioritized the health and well-being of both the moms and their tiny pups. We carefully consider each dam’s success in birthing (whelping), ensuring little to no risk during whelping. Thanks to this care, our pups enter the world ready to become your best friends.
Breeding for Micro Royals didn’t start until 2017. Before that, these tiny pups appeared naturally among regular litters due to the diverse miniature breeds in the gene pool of their ancestry. It’s always amusing to watch these tiny pups grow up alongside their much larger siblings. They become highly skillful at navigating the world with great care and anticipation of what they need as tiny people!
To maintain health and longevity, we breed smaller males to larger females, minimizing cesarean sections and ensuring our dogs live long, happy lives.

Dedicated Care for Tiny Pups
Micro Minis and the rarer Super Micros require around-the-clock care during their first 10 weeks. We perform pup checks every 1.5 hours night and day to ensure their blood sugar remains stable and to prevent dehydration. Tiny pups can lose moisture dangerously fast. This hand-held care guarantees they grow into happy, healthy companions who exceed expectations in devotion and intelligence.
Slow and Steady Growth
Micro Royals mature slower than their littermates, taking as much as 36 months to fully develop into robust, beefy little dogs. Because of their slower growth, it’s essential to keep them safely with their litter for as long as possible while protecting them from overly rambunctious siblings who might accidentally cause injury.
The Basics of Micro Mini and Super Micro Royal Frenchel Frenchies
Big Dogs in Tiny Bodies
Despite being the smallest Frenchies you’ll find, Micro Minis and Super Micros are sturdy, calm, and relaxed. They boast impressive life expectancies of 16 to 20 years! Just like many species, smaller dogs generally live longer.
Their gentle, playful, and loving nature makes them reliable companions, full of fun but easy to care for. Their slow maturing pace ensures they develop into strong, healthy adults over three years, starting spindly and ending as little tanks of love. They get their full height and length by 9 months old however, they simply beef out more slowly over the remaining couple of years.
Uniquely Perfect for Those Who Want More
Many people want tiny dogs like “teacup” breeds but dislike the barking, shaking, or territorial behavior often associated with them. Royal Micros are different, they’re sturdier, loving, and eager to accompany you anywhere, enjoying people and life. They have what has been called a “Manners Matter Most” attitude due to their relational nature. So training at an early age comes very easy. They simply want to please at every turn.
Naturally Caring Companions
Micros and Super Micros are just like their larger Royal Frenchel family, full of service and heart. Whether you need a companion dog, a service dog to assist other dogs or people, or a healing presence, these little Royals will surprise you with their intelligence, sensitivity, and devotion.
They’re excellent with children, perfect for daily walks, incredible travel partners, work mascots and playdates. Their relational nature instead of the traditional French Bulldog territorial nature, and their greater tolerance of weather and different environments, means they love to be wherever you go, never territorial— instead, always deeply connected.

Smart, Confident, and Sweet
Micros are sharp! They track your habits, notice details, and love snuggles. Their bulldog minds are keen observers who care deeply for their friends, both canine and human, with great sensitivity.
Healthy, Long-Lived, and Cost-Effective
Royals don’t suffer from the genetic health problems common in many purebreds. They often choose unique friends and share traits with beloved breeds like Boxers—without the usual health struggles.
Though they might cost more upfront, their low daily care costs and long life expectancy make them very affordable companions in the long run. Minimal medical expenses and incredible longevity make owning a Micro or Super Micro Royal Frenchel a wise and joyful investment.
Your Perfect Companion, Whatever Your Needs
Whether you want a family dog for love, a service dog for support, a travel buddy, or a comforting companion for an aging pet or person, Micro Royals repay you in countless ways. They’re easy to train, well-mannered, and always the center of attention.
